Train's Clash Page 18

“Killyama comes across as a hard-ass, but she wouldn’t do anything to hurt Lily or me.”

Train looked at Beth from the corner of his eye. “You’re not going to give me the same assurance if she gets mad at me?”

Beth laughed. “If you hurt her, Killyama won’t be the only one you’ll have to worry about. Sex Piston and her whole crew will come after you like a pack of ravaging wolves.” Beth patted him on his arm as they went into the club.

“I wonder if they still make silver bullets?” Train joked as he left her to go upstairs to his room. He didn’t hear her retort as she went into the kitchen. He probably didn’t want to hear it anyway. He had no intention of hurting Killyama. As long as they kept everything casual, both of them could have a good time, and then walk away unscathed when it was over.

He made a pit stop in the bathroom to shower. Then, wrapping a towel around his hips, he headed to his bedroom. Leaving the door open, he dressed and was putting his boots back on when Stori came into the room.

“What are you doing?” she asked as she plopped down on the bed.

“About to go down to eat dinner.”

Train rose from off the side of the bed, but Stori caught his hand, yanking him back down.

“I’m hungry for some Train.” Stori went to her knee, trying to maneuver the zipper of his jeans down. He caught her hands.

“Right now, I’m hungry for tacos.”

Leaving her sitting on the bed, he turned toward the door.

“Dammit. Don’t tell me you’re going to turn into a one-woman man now, too. The women still aren’t over losing Lucky. What’s a woman got to do to get laid around here?” Stori pouted, falling back to the bed.

Train strode back. Lifting her, he tossed her over his shoulder then gave her a sharp whack on her delectable ass.

“I’m hungry, not neutered. Let me eat dinner. Then I’ll keep you busy for the rest of the night.” He effortlessly carried her through the house, enjoying the giggles that trailed after them.

Stori was sweet. She could fuck you in every position imaginable, and a couple he hadn’t thought of until she had shown him. She was up for anything or anyone, though she usually snuggled up to him or Rider at night. He had yet to see her petty or bitchy. She was the perfect Last Rider woman.

Train knew he didn’t stand a chance that Killyama would fit in as well. She would probably pull their hair out the first time she spent the night.

He set Stori down to make his plate, becoming frustrated at himself for thinking about Killyama. Train had hoped that having sex with Killyama again would get her out of his system. It looked like it would take longer than he expected.

He found a seat next to Rider, Moon, and Jewell. Then, when they were almost done eating and were just sitting around and talking, Stori sought him out, plopping down onto his lap.

“You ready?”

“I’m all yours,” he said, helping her off his lap to carry his dirty dishes to the sink.

Taking out his cell phone when it started ringing, he saw it was Killyama calling.

“Hey,” he answered, raising a finger to show Stori he needed a minute.

“I’m bored as fuck. You in the mood for company?” Killyama’s voice came over the line.

Train stared at Stori, who was becoming irritated, waiting for the conversation to end.

“I’m kind of busy right now.”

“Oh. That’s a bummer. I was going to give you a blowjob so you can compare it to the women in the club. I don’t expect you to give them up before I can prove who’s better.”

Did her voice have a sultry twinge to it? Or was it the lust that had detonated in his head?

“I’ll be twenty minutes.”

Stori stormed away huffily at his words, finding a space between Rider and Moon on the couch in the den.

“Wait! I can drive there …” The sultriness had disappeared from her voice. Train knew it had been a product of his imagination.

“I want the ride. See you in twenty.” Train disconnected the call before she could argue about coming over.

The brothers were already taking Stori’s shorts off. It hadn’t taken her five seconds to replace him.

“Where are you going? Don’t you want to join in?” Rider asked, taking off his jeans.

“No, I’m going out for dessert.”

“Let’s just go in and get him. It’s too cold to sit here freezing my tits off,” Killyama complained.

“You think it’s any easier on me? I have news for you; Jonas needs to stop playing that dumbass game on his phone. And will you please quit chewing that gum? If you pop it one more time, I’m going to rip it out of your fucking mouth.”

“I’m almost on level thirty-one. I need to kill one more zombie to level up, and then I’ll stop.”

Killyama leaned forward, placing an elbow on the back of each of their seats. “If he doesn’t come out in one hour, I’m going to go knock on the door and pull Carter out.” With little to do but wait for their bounty to come out, they passed the time trying to see who could be the most irritating. So far, she was winning.

Jonas closed the app, settling against the door so he could see her. “You’re looking tired today. Late night?” Trust Jonas to amp the voltage.

“I’m not tired; I just didn’t want to waste my makeup on you two.”

“It didn’t have anything to do with seeing Train’s bike parked out front of the Destructors’ last night?”

Belligerently, she stiffened. “You keeping an eye on me?”

“I was going to get a beer. Of course, I left when I recognized Train’s motorcycle.”

“He stopped by to say hi.”

“I bet he got more than a hi.”

“Does it matter?”

“I hope you know what you’re doing. Train’s one of two men I wouldn’t cross.”

Usually, it was Hammer who warned others about being stupid. Jonas was the more laid back of the two men. They were like uncles to her. Jonas was the cool one, while Hammer was the pain in the neck.

“I’m not a kid anymore; I can watch out for myself.” She deliberately popped her gum again. “Who else wouldn’t you cross? It’s not like I’m scared or anything, but I can keep them on my radar.”

“Shade.”

“Shade? We’re friends.” She might be a tiny bit exaggerating.

Hammer and Jonas took their eyes off the apartment to cast her doubtful glances.

“Shade doesn’t have friends,” Hammer warned. “I raised you to stare into a man’s eye and see his soul. Shade doesn’t have one. If you don’t see that, I failed.”

“I saw it, but you haven’t seen him around Lily.”

“You’re not Lily.”

She dropped her arms, leaning back in her seat as she stared out of the window. No one was Lily. She had the extra special something that drew everyone around her into her world. Her sister, Beth, had the same capacity. They were charming and so nice they made you wonder which planet they had been born on. A woman like Lily could catch a man like Train, instead of taking leftovers.
